GREENE TOWNSHIP, PA
A tragic accident took place earlier this evening on Interstate 81 in Franklin County. Five people died, according to a PennDOT spokesperson.
The crash happened shortly before 9 p.m.
According to a PennDOT spokesman, a bus or an RV traveling southbound crossed into the northbound lanes and collided with a tractor-trailer.
Please not that if you are traveling, the northbound lanes are shut down between Exit 16 (U.S. 30 - Lincoln Way) and Exit 20 (PA 997 - Scotland) in Greene Township.
