The Board of School Directors of the Bethlehem Area School District announced their intention to appoint Dr. Maureen P. Leeson as the District’s Assistant Superintendent and Chief Academic Officer at their June 26, 2023, Regular School Board Meeting.
Dr. Leeson is assuming the position currently held by Dr. Jack Silva who recently was named as the Superintendent Appointee of Bethlehem Area School District.
Dr. Leeson brings to this position a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Her experience includes 16 years in education.
Currently, Dr. Leeson serves the District as the Supervisor of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, K-12.
During her tenure in the Bethlehem Area School District, she has also served as an Assistant Principal at Freedom High School and taught Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Liberty High School.
Dr. Leeson received her Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Lehigh University, and holds Dual Master of Science in Education Degrees from Wilkes University and a Bachelor of Science Degree from DeSales University.
Dr. Leeson is Built by Bethlehem and is a graduate of Liberty High School.
