According to The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), they have re-opened the beach at Beltzville State Park for swimming effective August 10, 2023. It was closed on Tuesday.
In addition, the spotted lanternfly has invaded the area, according to DCNR, and they ask that you look before you leave.
In order to prevent the spread of unwanted lanternflies, please inspect your vehicle, camper, tent, and gear before you leave the park and destroy any lanternflies you may find.
