Beware of mail theft in Whitehall Twp. and Lower Saucon Twp.



During the overnight May 13th – May 14th several mailboxes along Mockingbird Hill Rd, Nursery Ln, Apple St and Alpine Dr in Lower Saucon Township were opened and mail was removed from some.


There was some mail found from these locations on the I 78 westbound ramp from Rte#412, according to Lower Saucon Township Police.


Police have been in contact with the Hellertown Postmaster in reference this incident.


Anyone with information is asked to submit a tip through their Crimewatch Tipline or contact Corporal Kyle Haggerty at 610-317-6110.


The postmaster and police encourage residents not to mail checks from their home and to take them to the mailbox inside the Hellertown Post Office.


According to WFMZ News, criminals were caught on camera in Whitehall Township, Lehigh County. People on Congress Street say the crime seems calculated.


Several people in the neighborhood who have fallen victim have security footage that caught the criminals in the act.
