Heavy Police presence reported in Lower Macungie Twp., residents asked to shelter in place

According to a report on WFMZ News, the the Lehigh County Sheriff's Office are at the scene of a barricaded person at a home in the Fairways at Brookside Community in Lower Macungie Township Monday afternoon.

The incident started after the sheriff's department attempted to provide paperwork to a person at a house on Waynesborough Court, Branosky said.

Branosky said Sauerkraut Lane is currently closed between Saddlebrook Road and Mill House Road.

State police are asking people in the Fairways at Brookside Community to shelter in place.

Lower Macungie, PA

Heavy police presence is being reported in the fairway development off of Brookside Road in Lower Macungie Township, according to a report by Emergency Alerts County. Multiple state and sheriff units are on the scene in addition to EMS, according to the report.

. Witnesses report officers with riot gear on with rifles.
