Officer rescues sleeping resident from burning Slatington home

SLATINGTON, Pa. - Firefighters returned to the scene of a Lehigh County house fire after it rekindled several hours later.

Crews were still on scene Thursday in the 100 block of Fifth Street in Slatington when smoke started pouring from the third story of the duplex shortly before noon.

More firefighters were called back to the scene to put out the rekindle.
