Pennsylvania State Police investigate ordnance items discovered in Williams Township



Williams Township, Northampton County



The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Troop M Belfast Patrol Unit is investigating ordnance items that were discovered in Williams Township, Northampton County.


On Saturday, May 20, 2023, at approximately 10:47 a.m., Troopers from PSP Belfast were dispatched to a residence on Flafair Drive, Williams Township, for the report of a grenade that was found inside the residence.




Upon investigation, a second grenade was also discovered. Both items were determined to be inert. The Bethlehem Bomb Squad was activated and dispatched to the residence, where they took possession of the ordnance.


Assisting at the scene was the Williams Township Fire Department and PSP K-9.


There were no injuries during this investigation.


There was no danger to the public during this incident.


There are no charges pending related to this incident.
