Police chief and family adopt one of their own

On May 12th, 2023 this little guy was running loose along Green Pond Road around the Community Center. in Palmer Township.

According to the police, he was placed into the pound on 4/24/2023, as a stray dog.

In accordance with the Palmer Police Canine Policy, he was advertised as Found and held for 7 days in the hopes that his owner would claim him. Instead, he went unclaimed. It was believed that he was dumped there.

The Chief met him at the Pound with the intent to take pictures and advertise him as available for immediate adoption. Instead, the Chief spoke with his wife about him and they both agreed to foster him for the weekend and see how he would do at their home and with their current dog, "Max".

They ended up adopting him and naming him “Brock.”

According to their veterinarian, he is a one year old, healthy German Shepherd / Basenji mix. He's had his check up, initial vaccines and now officially part of the Chief's family and Palmer Township Police family.

Welcome Brock!!
