Spring is the time of year when you hear the sounds of Pennsylvania's smallest frog

It's that time of year with Spring just around the corner when you hear the sounds of Pennsylvania’s smallest frog -- the spring peeper!

Although calling occurs mostly at night according to the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, unseasonably warm temperatures can trigger day-long calling.

You can listen for spring peepers at state parks in wetlands, wet meadows, creek and lake edges, and swamps.

If you hear them, let us know. Take a video and send it in to WGOLV!
