Tractor-Trailer crash on Route 22 causing major delays

S. WHITEHALL TWP., PA. –

A tractor-trailer rolled onto its side on Route 22 just before 1 pm today, according to WFMZ News and has caused a shutdown of the westbound side of the road.


The crash shut down all lanes of Route 22 westbound between Cedar Crest Boulevard exit and the Route 309 North-Tamaqua exit. at mile market 318.8.


According to the WFMZ news report, the tractor-trailer driver had minor injuries.


Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Nathan Branosky says he's expecting the highway to be closed for an extended period of time.


The tractor-trailer was the only vehicle involved and was carrying trash.
