Visibilities across Northeast Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey are being lowered due to smoke.
Values of 1 to 2 miles are being observed according to the National Weather Service.
The satellite images reveal that a plume of this smoke dropping down from southern Canada and NY state will affect much of the region this evening and overnight.
Air quality alerts are in effect.
