Meet Bobi, the world's oldest dog. He just turned 31! He is the oldest living dog ever.
Bobi is a purebred Rafeiro do Alentejo and lives with his owner Leonel Costa, 38, and his family in the rural village of Conqueiros, in Leiria, Portugal, according to Guinness World Records.
Bobi, who eats only human food and loves a good nap, celebrated his birthday in style with a blowout bash this past Saturday that featured more than 100 guests, some of whom flew in internationally just for the occasion.
Local meats and fish were served at the party for the birthday boy.
What is the secret to Bobi's longevity? According to his owner, the secret is the calm, peaceful environment that Southern Portugal offers.
Bobi’s birth date, May 11, 1992, was confirmed by Serviço Medico-Veterinário do Município de Leiria (Veterinary Medical Service of the Municipality of Leiria), who registered Bobi in 1992.
