Honda is recalling nearly 1.2 million vehicles due to a visibility issue with the vehicle's rear view camera, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported Friday.
Honda said the rear view camera image may not appear on the dashboard screen in certain models, according to NHTSA. If that happens, it can decrease driver visibility and increase the risk of a crash, according to .regulators.
Honda reported the problem is due to "a faulty coaxial cable connector."
The recall covers some Odyssey minivans from 2018 to 2023, Pilot SUVs from 2019 to 2022 and Passport SUVs from 2019 to 2023.

Car owners can search NHTSA’s database for new recalls and allows you to search for recalls based on your vehicle identification number, or VIN.
Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 24.
Dealers will replace most cable harness free and install a straightening cover over the vehicle cable connector, the company said.
