For Lehigh Valley baseball fans, the Redner's Event Center will be a much welcomed addition.
The Reading Fightin Phils are partnering with Redner’s as the official naming partner for the R-Phils new event center, set to open its doors in 2024.
“We are very excited to be able to further cement our relationship with the Phillies organization and Berks County through the naming of Redner’s Event Center. It will be an awesome focal point for meetings, weddings and many, many other uses which require a large and unique space,” said Ryan S. Redner, President/CEO of Redner’s Markets.
The Redner's Event Center will adopt a 1950s brick warehouse look and will compliment the First Energy Stadium as well as surrounding neighborhood.
It will come complete with new stadium lighting, according to team officials, which will bound to enhance the fan experience.
The first floor of the Redner's Event Center will feature team clubhouses, a weight room, batting cages, female locker rooms, training space and more, which exceeds even the minimum requirements for Major League Baseball.

The second floor will include an event space for up to 500 people.
The main draw on this floor is for weddings, parties, and other celebratory events for the public. However, that space will be in use during the season for fans wanting the premium baseball experience as well as year-round events.
"This ballpark, stadium, team is a part of the fabric of Berks County and beyond," added Schwank. "When a lot of us learned this might have been in danger of moving to another city, possibly, because of the improvements MLB wanted to see, we rallied together, and said, 'We're not going to let that happen.'"
Officials state the new event center will be open by June 2024, at the latest.
2023's season home opener will be April 11th.
