Severe thunderstorm potential for Thursday with locally damaging winds

According to the National Weather Service, a very warm and more humid air mass will overspread the region Thursday. As a cold front arrives in the afternoon, there is the potential for some severe thunderstorms between 3 pm and 9 pm. The main threat is for locally damaging winds with gusts to 60 mph and hail.
